I feel like I’ve been so busy this year. Kids are growing and time is flying. Hardly any time or brain bandwidth for blogging. But here is a glimpse into what I’ve been up to all year.

Once upon a time, while Justin and I were engaged, we went to Bed Bath & Beyond to start on a wedding registry. It was a Saturday, late in our senior year of college, at least a month before the wedding invitations with our wedding website—including the registry information—on them would be sent. We hadn’t a care in the world.

Do a Project Together
When Justin was offered a new job in the Dallas, TX, area at the beginning of the summer, we quickly discovered that housing costs are higher here than where we were living at the time. We didn’t want to increase our mortgage by much, so we started talking about buying a fixer-upper, so that we could pay less upfront for the type of home we wanted, gradually fix it up, and build more equity as we go.
